Mallone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Madden tries to avoid it but Mallone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Madden to the ground. Madden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mallone misses with a takedown attempt - Madden sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mallone swats away the attempt to clinch by Madden.
Mallone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Madden circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Mallone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Madden looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Madden backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Mallone's temple! It sends Mallone violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Madden celebrates and the doctors try to help Mallone!

High needs to keep his hands up - Cross had a free shot at his head there.
High misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cj High seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cross lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but High circles away quickly and effectively.
High shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cross as he avoids it easily.
Cross defends well against a solid takedown attempt from High.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cj High. That's going to take a lot out of him.

High on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice sprawl there from Cross as High shoots in.
High is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Cross drops High with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but High looks back up at him and smiles so Cross waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cross cracks High with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Malik kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stronger. Hinkelton has chosen '2001 A Space Odyssey' Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hobo Homles had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Ther Terror acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

MacArthur closes the distance and clinches up with Alves, looking for a takedown. MacArthur pushes Alves against the cage but Alves circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alves tries to bum rush MacArthur with a series of wild strikes but MacArthur uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
MacArthur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but MacArthur moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alves throws out a loose jab but MacArthur uses good head movement to avoid it.
Alves throws a right and a left that MacArthur avoids nicely.
MacArthur shoots in for a double leg but Alves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alves slaps away a takedown attempt from MacArthur, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Guilherme Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn MacArthur.
Alves swings and misses with a hook to the body.
MacArthur looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Alves enables MacArthur to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alves manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Margera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Painija creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Margera sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Margera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Painija defends well.
Painija is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Painija tries to close the distance and clinch up but Margera swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Painija rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Margera moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Painija goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Painija creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Margera with a big uppercut! Margera tries to clinch up but Painija pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Margera to the mat! Margera covers up and Painija unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
