0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masato Kunaida! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kunaida lands a really nice looking cross but Godai seems unphased.
Sloppy strikes from Godai. Those never looked like landing. Left hook, right uppercut from Kunaida. Godai lands with a right hand. Godai swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Godai misses with a body kick. Kunaida throws a series of punches but Godai avoids them all with ease. Kunaida tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Godai was well out of range. Poor timing from Kunaida. Godai dips to his left and cracks Kunaida with an uppercut! Kunaida dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kunaida throws a nice looking combination but Godai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kunaida scores with the left hand. Godai knows he should have avoided that one. Masato Kunaida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kunaida takes a swing at Godai's ribcage but misses. Godai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Godai has a takedown stuffed. Kunaida uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Godai shoots in for a takedown but Kunaida shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryuta Godai. That's going to take a lot out of him. A shot to the liver by Kunaida. Beautiful body shot. Godai takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Godai misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Godai looks to score with a jab to the body but Kunaida is just out of range. Godai tries for a takedown but Kunaida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kunaida swings for the body but Godai moves out of range.

Godai shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kunaida connects with a body shot that sends Godai's belly button to the back. Kunaida throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Godai shoots for a double leg takedown but Kunaida sprawls well. He's pushed Godai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Godai has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Kunaida avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Godai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kunaida tries to avoid it but Godai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kunaida to the ground. Kunaida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kunaida scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Godai misses with a takedown attempt - Kunaida sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Godai throws a jab but it's blocked by Kunaida. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masato Kunaida dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Godai fails miserably with a takedown attempt. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Godai. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Godai misses with a double jab

The fighters circle momentarily. Kunaida darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Godai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kunaida tries to avoid it but Godai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kunaida to the ground. Kunaida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kunaida ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kunaida lands with an overhand left. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kunaida swinging wildly here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kunaida connects with a jab. Godai shoots in and drives through. Kunaida sprawls well. Kunaida slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ryuta Godai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Godai doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kunaida misses with a few strikes there.
Nice takedown defense from Kunaida. No joy for Godai on that attempt. Kunaida scores with the left hand. Godai knows he should have avoided that one.

and Godai counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Oh Godai is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kunaida kicks Godai off and gets back to his feet. Kunaida looks to land a left hand but Godai moved out of range nicely. Godai seems to have got his legs back now. Kunaida cracks Godai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Godai misses with a hook. Kunaida ducked under it nicely. Kunaida fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Godai looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kunaida connects with a looping right hand.
Kunaida throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Godai crashing down! Godai tries to stagger back to his feet but Kunaida just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Godai asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Argo lands with a short shot to the head. Shavers gets control of Argo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shavers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Shavers looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Argo is defending well. Shavers quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Argo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shavers celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Let's see if Unki can do anything to dispel that myth. Sakumichi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Unki keeps working. Sakumichi trying to control from Unki's half guard. Unki has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Unki keeping full guard, as Sakumichi tries to pass. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Unki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sakumichi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fredric tries to get out of the position. Hornblower pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fredric is keeping the position for now. Hornblower drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fredric manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hornblower has Fredric in his guard. Hornblower is looking to sinch up a triangle. Fredric throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hornblower's body to avoid the submission. Hornblower has instead reached around Fredric's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hornblower arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Beam! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beam throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Beam moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Beam lands a slapping body shot.
A combination from Beam does no damage. A punch combination from Beam misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steptoe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Steptoe on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Steptoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Steptoe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beam manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Steptoe drops back looking for a leg! Beam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beam manages to kick Steptoe off! Steptoe jumps back into Beam's guard. Steptoe is breathing heavily. Steptoe is looking to advance position but Beam has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Beam breaks from Steptoe's wrist control and lands an elbow. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Steptoe tries to hold on but Beam pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beam with shots to the head and body - Steptoe looks very uncomfortable down there.
Steptoe is rocked! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Beam! Steptoe is out cold! This one is all over!
