The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walburn throws a lazy body kick and Kay counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Kay scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Walburn moves out of range of the leg kick from Kay. Jason Kay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Walburn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kay avoids the head kick by Walburn.
Kay cracks a nice hook into Walburn's ribs. Walburn closes the distance and clinches. Walburn gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Jason Kay has been cut. Kay lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Walburn. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! With the two fighters working up against the cage, Walburn just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kay's brow. Walburn can't find room to land a body shot as Kay controls the action.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Walburn. Kay lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kay throws a sloppy head kick and Walburn moves out of range easily. Walburn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kay is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walburn. Walburn closes the distance and clinches.

Gordon throws a right and a left that both miss. Gordon looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knish misses with a wild combination.
Knish lands a big head kick that sends Gordon tumbling to the mat! Knish takes a step backwards and waves Gordon back to his feet - he wants the finish!

James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fitzgibbon back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James slaps away a takedown attempt from Fitzgibbon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Freddy James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitchell thows a body shot but no joy. Van Hook shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Van Hook prevents Mitchell from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Hook is trying to control the action in half guard but Mitchell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Van Hook seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Van Hook trying to control the action but Mitchell is working from the bottom. Mitchell is looking to control Van Hook's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mitchell avoid being mounted? Van Hook trying to mount his opponent but Mitchell defends it.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Van Hook can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
