The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bookem misses with a straight left.
Bookem moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bookem cracks Po with a good jab.
Both fighters circling a little - Po finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Pox counters with a good low kick that Elkins was not able to check.
Pox uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Elkins.

Pox moves into range and clinches up with Elkins.
A head punch on the inside from Pox fails to land.
Pox lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Elkins has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pox avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pox swings wildly with an uppercut but Elkins uses good head movement to avoid it.

Elkins throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Pox throws a shot from downtown. Elkins moves away and avoids it.
Elkins keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pox.

Elkins looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Elkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

You get the feeling that Pox really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pox holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Elkins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Elkins postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pox looks a forlorn figure.
Elkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
