9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thiago Alves ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Charlisson Rousseff! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rousseff sprawls well. Rousseff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alves gets slowly back to his feet. Rousseff misses with a hook
and Alves counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Good leg kick by Alves there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Alves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rousseff.
Alves tries to clinch but Rousseff moves out of range. Rousseff swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Rousseff. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet. Alves is looking to clinch but Rousseff is avoiding it.
Alves scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rousseff is looking for a sweep. Alves throws an elbow but Rousseff slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves advances to mount. Alves postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rousseff looks a forlorn figure.
Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Alves pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Alves scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Rousseff is rocked! Alves controlling the pace for now. Alves sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Alves throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Alves with a lazy takedown attempt and Rousseff cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Alves catches Rousseff with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rousseff moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rousseff throws a shot from downtown. Alves moves away and avoids it. Alves looks to land a combination. Rousseff sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alves fails with the takedown and Rousseff counters with a nice body shot. Charlisson Rousseff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Alves tries to bum rush Rousseff with a series of wild strikes but Rousseff uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Horrible takedown by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Rousseff which made him look bad. Rousseff throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Alves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rousseff counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rousseff circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rousseff.

Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rousseff fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alves manages to avoid it. Alves closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Alves wants to slow Rousseff down by chopping away at his legs. Rousseff keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Rousseff is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Alves rather than just go for the knockout. Rousseff lands a jab to Alves 's midsection. Charlisson Rousseff has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alves has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Alves there as he acknowledges the shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keystone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Some bone on bone action there as Hunt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Hunt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Keystone. Keystone throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease. Hunt throws a right and a left that both miss. Keystone misses with a low kick. Keystone misses with a body shot.
Hunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hunt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keystone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hunt to the ground. Keystone is now in Hunt's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Keystone stopping the sweep attempt from Hunt. Hunt is trying to keep Keystone in close.
Keystone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hunt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keystone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Keystone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hunt is pulling down on Keystone's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keystone won't allow Hunt to sweep him here. Hunt pulls Keystone in to control the position. Keystone wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hunt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Keystone. Hunt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keystone. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Keystone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Hunt to counter with a crisp jab. Hunt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keystone is fending him off so far but Hunt persists. Nope, Keystone circles away and we're back to standing. Hunt gets a double leg takedown into Keystone's guard.

Hunt throws a big right hand that misses. Hunt cracks Keystone with a solid left hand. Keystone is adopting a defensive guard. Keystone trying to control the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Hunt will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Keith Keystone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Hunt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Keystone. Hunt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Keystone connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hunt scrambles back to his feet. A swing and a miss from Keystone. Hunt drops his hands momentarily and Keystone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Keystone scores with a sloppy right hand. Hunt should have avoided that one.

Keystone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hunt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hunt. Keystone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Keystone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Keystone looking for a guillotine here but Hunt defends easily.

Keystone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hunt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hunt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Keystone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hunt landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Keystone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Keystone throws a strike but Hunt avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Hunt trying to control the position.

Yoshio has chosen "Stronger" by Kanye West as his entrance music. Oishi Yoshio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshio lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bear drives through with a takedown into guard. Bear scoring with some ground and pound. Yoshio controls Bear momentarily but Bear frees himself. Bear throwing strikes from guard but Yoshio blocks nicely. Yoshio looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bear is one step ahead there. Bear thows a big elbow that misses. Yoshio wants to sweep here but Bear controlling him for the moment. Bear thows a big elbow that misses. Bear engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Bear trying to control but Yoshio is working from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Oishi Yoshio hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Yoshio keeps Bear at a distance using the push kick. A jab lands there for Yoshio. Yoshio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Yoshio stuffs the takedown attempt from Bear. Bear gets slowly back to his feet. Yoshio thows a body kick. Bear tries to catch it but that hurt him. No joy there for Bear, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bear has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Yoshio. Yogi Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yoshio lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bear's sensitive parts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoshio closes the distance and pushes Bear back into the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yoshio is trying to maintain a safe position but Bear gets an underhook and turns Yoshio into the cage. Bear is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Yoshio stalling in the clinch.
Yoshio lands a shoulder strike. Bear can't find room to land a body shot as Yoshio controls the action.

Bear moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Oishi Yoshio has been cut. Yoshio lands a jab. Yoshio ducks under a wild hook from Bear. Bear fails to land with a series of punches.
Bear gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yoshio counters with a low kick, right behind Bear 's knee. Bear is breathing heavily.

That sent Bear stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A low kick from Bear is predictable there and Bear takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bear loads up on a big right hand but Yoshio slips the punch. Yoshio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bear was well out of range. Poor timing from Yoshio. Bear works over Yoshio's head and body with a nice combination. A big right from Bear misses. Yoshio tests Bear's chin there with a solid looking shot. Yoshio jabs Bear to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bear throws a combination that misses and Yoshio counters with a nice body kick. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Law. Sloppy strikes from Noonan. Those never looked like landing. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Law has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Law takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Law is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Noonan. Noonan misses the jab. Law uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Noonan.
Law shoots in looking for a takedown. Noonan tries to sprawl out of it but Law keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Laia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Barry Scott has got the better of the ground game so far.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mondero lands a jab to the nose. Mondero takes a swing at Toluao's ribcage but misses. Toluao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mondero but Mondero pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mondero feints and then cracks Toluao's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Toluao down. Toluao gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Mondero moves out of range of the body kick. Toluao tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mondero was well out of range. Poor timing from Toluao. Mondero throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Toluao tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mondero is in Toluao's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mondero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mondero wants to control from the top but Toluao keeps moving.
We're going to have a standup here because Jeganathan Mondero wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mondero takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mondero takes a body punch but keeps moving. Toluao gets the takedown into side control. Toluao postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mondero here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Toluao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mondero manages to avoid it. Mondero is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Mondero on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Toluao. Toluao obviously looking to wear him down.
