I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ivo Petric was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petric walks into a stiff left hand from White. White shoots in looking for a takedown but Petric manages to keep the fight standing, pushing White's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. White tries a head kick but it misses.
White tries to sprawl but Petric drives through with a takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. White gets back to full guard.
Petric trying to control but White is working from the bottom. White throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
White keeping moving, preventing Petric from controlling successfully. Petric must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Petric stands and steps away. White gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petric dodges the ground and pound from White. Petric is trying to improve his position. White is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Petric is trying to escape and White transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Petric is forced to tap! Nice work there by White! Very nice indeed!

It looks like Juan Muai Thai has been cut. Muai Thai looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Muai Thai wants to clinch. Muai Thai throws a combination that misses and Trendell counters with a right hand to the body. Muai Thai looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trendell rushes Muai Thai and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Muai Thai jumps guard but Trendell stands there with Muai Thai around his waist. Muai Thai gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Muai Thai should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Trendell lands a nice uppercut. Trendell lands a body punch in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muai Thai being controlled against the cage. Trendell drops Muai Thai onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Muai Thai is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

That has opened up Juan Muai Thai's cut even more. Trendell pushes Muai Thai against the cage and as Muai Thaibounces back, Trendell cracks him with a massive overhand right that sends him crashing to the mat! Trendell follows up with more strikes but Muai Thai was out from that first, devastating punch! Wow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans closes the distance and pushes Young back into the cage. Evans cracks Young with a nice body shot. Young has Evans pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Young pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Evans tumbling to the mat - Young dives into Evans's guard. Young makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Young is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Marrodona closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Marrodona pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marrodona displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rogers throws out the jab. Marrodona tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rogers swivels and escapes. Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Marrodona. Marrodona gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Marrodona. Marrodona leaves his chin hanging out and Rogers seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Marrodona crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

and Machin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A head punch on the inside from Moltov fails to land. Moltov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Yeva tries to bum rush Jolokia with a series of wild strikes but Jolokia uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jolokia showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yeva.

Jolokia lands with a straight right. Yeva didn't see that one coming. Jolokia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yeva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A head kick by Yeva misses and Jolokia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Yeva looks to land a combination but Jolokia avoids it well. Yeva misses with a few strikes there.

Alexei Surov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thunstrom scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Surov doesn't seem bothered though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thunstrom throws a hook but Surov avoids it easily. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Surov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Surov has his takedown stuffed and Thunstrom comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Surov stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Thunstrom is on him like rabid pit bull! Surov slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
