Turd Ferg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ferg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hagert circles away quickly and effectively. Hagert ducks under a wild hook from Ferg. A jab-cross combination lands for Hagert and sends Ferg crashing to the mat! Hagert follows him down to the mat - Ferg regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Turd Ferg has been cut. Hagert decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hagert rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferg moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ferg falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hagert counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Ferg off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Hagert follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Ferg was out before he hit the floor.

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
