It looks like Bass Rutten has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Rutten sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Pizzaman throws a front kick that sends Rutten stumbling back into the cage. Pizzaman connects with a high kick. Whack! Pizzaman lands a heavy head kick that drops Rutten. The ref tackles Pizzaman to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Rutten was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier looks to land a combination but Santiago avoids it well. Santiago walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Frazier misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santiago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frazier manages to avoid it. Frazier connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Frazier lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frazier tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santiago was well out of range. Poor timing from Frazier. Frazier motions for Santiago to come forward. Frazier throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Joe Frazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frazier forces Santiago back against the cage and clinches. Frazier pulls guard effortlessly. Frazier is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frazier not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Frazier lands a glancing blow to the side of Santiago's head. Santiago fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Frazier. Frazier is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Santiago can do to turn this around? Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santiago shoots in looking for a takedown but Frazier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santiago's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Frazier showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frazier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? Quail prevents Gamburian from breaking the clinch. Quail has picked Gamburian up - he's going for a ride! Quail dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Gamburian takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Quail controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quail has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Quail with shots to the head and body - Gamburian looks very uncomfortable down there. Quail controlling the position easily from mount. Quail seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gamburian for as long as he can get away with. BOOM! Quail connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callahan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lil II moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lil II misses with a body shot.
Lil II feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Lil II is looking to work some ground and pound but Callahan has wrist control. Lil II pushing down on Callahan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lil II is taking a breather. Callahan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Callahan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lil II. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Callahan looks like he's trying to stand up.
