Mitchell comes into the arena with Yardbirds - Heart Full of Soul blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Kosarev or perhaps it was just good defense by Mitchell which made him look bad.
Mitchell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kosarev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mitchell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kosarev moves away.
Mitchell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kosarev tries to clinch up but Mitchell circles away and keeps his distance.
Good leg kick by Mitchell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kosarev's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mitchell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kosarev scrambles back to his feet.

Kosarev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mitchell drops Kosarev with a beautiful combination! Kosarev stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mitchell is looking for the KO!

It looks like Ilia Kosarev has been cut.
Kosarev on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mitchell. Mitchell obviously looking to wear him down.

Mitchell sends Kosarev crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mitchell is motioning to the referee to let Kosarev up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Kosarev is rocked!
Kosarev drops his hands momentarily. Mitchell doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kosarev staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kosarev doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adelphos Typhon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Typhon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McFey on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Typhon scoring well with a low kick there.
Typhon looks for the body kick but McFey saw that one coming.
Typhon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McFey manages to avoid it.
Some bone on bone action there as McFey checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Typhon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McFey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Typhon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Brown.
