Paneda tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Paneda tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Roberts smiles and moves away.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tog stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tog wants it to stay on the feet.
Tog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nose but Nose pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tog has hold of Nose's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nose manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nose tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nose suckers Tog into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Nose is now in Tog's guard!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bebe Nose.

Alvarado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tulfo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rua pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tulfo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tulfo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rua has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tulfo is trying to get an arm triangle but Rua is defending well.

Tulfo has hold of Rua's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rua tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tulfo cranks the arm and Rua screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rua, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
