The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nose closes the distance and clinches up with Daga, looking for a takedown. Nose pushes Daga against the cage but Daga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nose trying to control the position from guard on top but Daga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Daga pushes Nose off and scrambles back to his feet.
Nose shoots in for a double leg but Daga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daga tries to avoid it but Nose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daga to the ground. Daga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nose shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daga but Daga pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daga is defended easily by Nose.

Decent striking displayed by Nose there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nose enables Daga to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nose manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Daga got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daga has managed to get both his arms back between Nose's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Daga drops back looking for a leg! Nose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nose manages to kick Daga off! Daga jumps back into Nose's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Nose right now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Daga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nose is one step ahead there.
Daga bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nose's guard.

Nose is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Daga controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Daga pushes down on Nose's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Still in half guard, Daga seems content to control.
Nose wants to stand back up but Daga manages to pass into side control.

Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Balboa circles away quickly and effectively.
