The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meri throws a head kick that Pakarinen semi-blocks.
Pakarinen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Meri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pakarinen is fending him off so far but Meri persists. Nope, Pakarinen circles away and we're back to standing. Meri is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pakarinen is rocked! Meri gets a clinch. Pakarinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Meri finish him? Meri gets control of Pakarinen's arms and successfully pulls guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Calhoun. Hurt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Calhoun counters with a takedown into side control. Hurt manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Calhoun wants to get back to his feet.
Calhoun is looking for a sweep. Hurt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hurt wants to control but Calhoun is keeping him busy.
