The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMullen slips a jab and a cross from Jim.
McMullen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jim throws a series of punches but McMullen avoids them all with ease. McMullen misses with a few strikes there.
Sloppy strikes from McMullen. Those never looked like landing. McMullen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jim counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. McMullen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jim drops McMullen with a beautiful combination! McMullen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jim is looking for the KO!
McMullen is rocked!
It looks like Carl McMullen has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jim dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McMullen is still on wobbly legs! Can Jim finish him? McMullen looks gassed! Jim ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jim lands with a shot to the body. Jim fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked McMullen out cold! Brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bosco missing with a left hand there. Slug was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bosco takes a swing at Slug's ribcage but misses. Bosco scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Slug closes the distance and clinches. Slug lands with a short head shot on the inside. Bosco blocking some punches.

Bosco is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Slug gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Slug looks to throw an elbow but misses. Slug misses with some punches.

Bosco jabs Slug to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bosco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bosco looks to throw the jab but Slug is out of range. Slug is looking to clinch. Slug walks into a left hand. Bosco moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Slug misses with a series of wild punches.
Bosco takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Metal Slug is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bosco stuns Slug with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Royce Bosco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bosco misses with a takedown attempt and Slug counters with a body kick. Metal Slug has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Bosco. Bosco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slug as he avoids it easily. Slug misses with a few strikes there.
Slug lands with a kick to the temple. Bosco shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bosco takes a kick to the side of the head. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bosco. Slug rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bosco moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bosco looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bosco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Slug to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slug tries to bum rush Bosco with a series of wild strikes but Bosco uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bosco misses with a body shot.
Bosco lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A shot to the body from Bosco misses and Slug counters with a head kick. That will keep Bosco thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Slug lands a brutal head kick. Bosco looks out on his feet and Slug throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

He's persisting with it as Boy sprawls well. Boy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonsalez Blanco gets slowly back to his feet. Gonsalez Blanco has a takedown stuffed. Boy passes to side control. Boy advances to full mount. Boy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gonsalez Blanco is desperately trying to improve his position but Boy has a good base and remains in mount.

He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Gonsalez Blanco looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Boy! Herman shoots in for a double leg but Red Gym sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Red Gym tries to work over Herman's front leg with a kick but Herman checks it. Red Gym leaves Herman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Red Gym moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Red Gym stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for PeeWee Herman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Herman fails with the takedown. Red Gym thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Herman if he has to take too many more of those.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ubereem moves into the clinch. Latvala is trying to break the clinch but Ubereem is controlling him. Latvala prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ubereem decides to pull guard. Latvala has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Latvala is fighting to break Ubereem's control of his arms but Ubereem is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ubereem is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Latvala knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ubereem on the ground. Ubereem wants to sweep here but Latvala controlling him for the moment. Latvala wants to stand and escape but instead Ubereem has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ubereem showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ubereem wants to control from the top but Latvala keeps moving.

Ubereem trying to control the position from guard on top but Latvala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Latvala defends it well. Latvala kicks off Ubereem and gets to his feet. A head kick from Latvala lands but Ubereem takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ubereem fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ubereem looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ubereem fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ubereem connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Latvala's hands. Ubereem shoots in and drives through. Latvala sprawls well. Roope Latvala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alistair Ubereem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ubereem shoots in looking for a takedown but Latvala manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ubereem's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Latvala throws a head kick but Ubereem moves out of range.
Alistair Ubereem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ubereem doesn't manage to clinch there - Latvala circles away.
Roope Latvala is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ubereem has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ubereem shoots in but Latvala avoids the takedown attempt easily. Latvala just misses with a punch to the body.

and Latvala counters with an inside leg kick. Ubereem looks gassed! Latvala avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spar lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Spar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Spar.
It looks like Mack Junior has been cut. Junior slaps away a takedown attempt from Spar, before circling back to the center of the mat. Spar takes a swing at Junior's ribcage but misses. Spar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Junior. A looping hook to the body misses from Spar. Junior does a little dance to reset his feet. Spar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Junior is fending him off so far but Spar persists. Nope, Junior circles away and we're back to standing. Spar misses with a wild body shot. Spar cracks a nice hook into Junior's ribs. Spar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Spar shoots in and drives through. Junior sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Spar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Junior looks to clinch and Spar counters with a left to the body. Spar listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Junior is looking to clinch. Junior tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spar paws at him with a jab and circles away. A swing and a miss from Spar. Spar jabbing away but nothing is landing. Junior pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A momentary lapse in concentration from Junior enables Spar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Junior manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Spar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Spar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Junior preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Junior is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Spar trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. Spar looking to pass the guard. Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spar preventing the sweep. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Spar misses with a straight left. Junior on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Spar misses with a straight left. Spar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spar works to advance to full mount. Junior defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Junior is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Spar unloading with bombs! Junior tries to hold on but Spar postures up. Spar with shots to the head and body - Junior looks very uncomfortable down there. Junior takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Junior tries to lock up and control but Spar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Junior is squirming around, avoiding Spar's attempts to control the action. Spar landing strikes from the mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spar is landing with some decent strikes but Junior is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Spar connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Junior is rocked! BOOM! Spar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Junior is still in real trouble! Can Spar finish him? A big strike lands for Spar! That's really hurt Junior and he's turned his back - Spar keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Spar jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
