The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Truck shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bruso as he jumps to the side.
Truck throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bruso sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Herbert Truck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Truck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Truck lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bruso at a distance.
Bruso misses with a two punch combination.
Truck throws a right hand that misses
letting Bruso counter with a right hand.
Bruso keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bruso throws a series of punches but Truck avoids them all with ease.
Truck looks to land a combination but Bruso avoids it well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Bruso manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Truck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bruso defends it well.

Bruso wants to sweep here but Truck controlling him for the moment.
Bruso pulls Truck in close to prevent any damage.
Truck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bruso swivels though and keeps the full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bruso is trying to control the position but Truck postures up.

Truck postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bruso is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Truck, into his guard.
Truck wants to sweep here but Bruso controlling him for the moment.
Truck keeping moving, preventing Bruso from controlling successfully.
Truck has his hands on Bruso's head, controlling the position.
Bruso trying to control the position from guard on top but Truck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thomas Bruso has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Truck shoots for a takedown but Bruso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Truck tries to land a leg kick but Bruso saw it coming and moves away.

Truck looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Truck moves away from the strike by Bruso.
Bruso scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Truck.

Truck misses with a hook from the clinch.
Truck avoids the elbow strike from Bruso, against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Truck has a couple of punches blocked by Bruso.

Truck swings away with an uppercut that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bruso tries to throw a body punch but Truck avoids it by throwing Bruso back against the cage.
Truck throws a punch but it's blocked by Bruso.
Truck fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bruso lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Truck or not.
Truck misses with a shot to the kidneys.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Bruso will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Truck throws the kick towards the body but Bruso avoids it.
Bruso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bruso uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Truck.
Bruso lands a nice looking body shot.
Thomas Bruso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bruso moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bruso scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Truck's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Truck is still on wobbly legs! Can Bruso finish him?

Bruso drops Truck onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Truck is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Bruso lands with a light punch inside.
Bruso lands with a short shot to the head.
Bruso with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bruso lands a big right hand that drops Truck! The killer instinct kicks in and Bruso finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Bruso!
