And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Piston Hurricane!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fourie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hurricane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fourie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fourie's back!
Hurricane is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Fourie is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fourie has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Hurricane.
Hurricane slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Fourie tries to escape but Hurricane has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fourie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hurricane's guard. Nice work there by Fourie.

Fourie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fourie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hurricane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hurricane can't keep his opponent in guard - Fourie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fourie wants to free his trapped foot but Hurricane is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hurricane keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Fourie wants to pass the guard but Hurricane is defending well.
Fourie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hurricane!

Hurricane regains half guard.

Fourie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hurricane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fourie.
Hurricane is doing well to control the position and prevent Fourie from advancing to side control.
Hurricane moves into full guard.
Fourie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hurricane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hurricane looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fourie has gone for a leg lock! Hurricane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fourie's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fourie keeping moving, preventing Hurricane from controlling successfully.

Fourie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hurricane stands and throws Fourie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fourie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hurricane off and has taken his back!
Hurricane controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt.
Hurricane is in bad spot here.
Hurricane tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Hurricane is trying desperately to improve position.

Hurricane has left one of his arms exposed and Fourie doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Hurricane screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alexander Fourie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley misses with a takedown attempt - Cadile sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Riley shoots in and drives through. Cadile sprawls well.
Riley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cadile pinned against the cage. Cadile gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Corey Cadile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Riley.

Oooooh!!! Cadile has knocked Riley down with a huge combo! Cadile steps away and waves a wobbly Riley back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Riley is rocked!

It looks like James Riley has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riley shoots in but Cadile avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Riley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cadile but Cadile pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cadile stuffs the takedown.
Riley looks gassed!

Riley gets tackled into the cage by Cadile. Cadile maintains the clinch.
Cadile gets through Riley's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Cadile lands with a light punch inside.
Riley is still on wobbly legs! Can Cadile finish him?
Cadile lands a body punch in the clinch.
Cadile lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Riley backwards.
Cadile lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Riley to his knees! Cadile keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corey Cadile!
Corey Cadile retains his welterweight title!
