The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fausu is fending him off so far but Drago persists. Nope, Fausu circles away and we're back to standing. Drago takes a shot to the body in his stride.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Raithert lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Babineaux pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Babineaux changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Raithert tries to avoid it but Babineaux manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Raithert to the ground. Raithert escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raithert forces Babineaux back against the cage and clinches. Babineaux wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Raithert looks to throw an elbow but misses. Babineaux wants to get back to striking at distance but Raithert won't allow it.

Raithert is pushing Babineaux up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. He's got hold of a leg but Raithert swivels and escapes. Raithert forces Babineaux back against the cage and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Raithert tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Babineaux smiles and moves away.
Raithert looks to clinch and Babineaux counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Babineaux shoots in for a takedown but Raithert shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Warren Raithert will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Babineaux manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Raithert breaks the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bateman looks to land a combination but Snake avoids it well. Snake looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bateman connects with a crisp jab. Snake with a poor takedown and Bateman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bateman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Snake.
Snake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bateman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bateman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Bateman throws a head kick that Snake semi-blocks.

Key is trying to ground and pound but Silver uses the momentary lack of control by Key to regain half guard. Key wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silver keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Key fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Silver is out of range. Key ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Key moves in looking to clinch but Silver pushes him off. Key misses with a low kick. Key throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Key swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silver. Key scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Don Key is winning the standup battle so far. Silver moves out of range as Key throws a body kick.
Key scores with a sloppy right hand. Silver should have avoided that one. Key throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silver's head.

Silver is still on wobbly legs! Can Key finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silver gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Key gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Silver is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
