Mephistopheles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mephistopheles wants it to stay on the feet.
Mephistopheles moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Bertie Bassett has been cut.
Mephistopheles closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bassett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mephistopheles just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mephistopheles turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mephistopheles manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mephistopheles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Nelson has instead reached around Mercier's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nelson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
