0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Rua! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rua pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it. Rua gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rua lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Rua manages to break the clinch.
Jones swings for the body but Rua moves out of range.
Jones has his takedown stuffed and Rua counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee. Rua instigates a clinch. Rua lands a knee to the body.
Rua with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rua pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones looks to clinch and Rua counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rua. Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rua smiles and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to clinch. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rua counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones is breathing heavily. Rua clinches. Rua scores with a hook to the body. Rua stalling in the clinch.

Gabriel Rua seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rua just stands there and leans against the cage. Rua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rua landing knees to the body.

Rua lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Gabriel Rua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rua gets a clinch. Rua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rua lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rua forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rua escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones tries to keep at a distance but Rua has taken the fight into the clinch. Rua stalls. Rua landing knees to the head.
Gabriel Rua is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua lands an elbow inside that Jones shrugs off.
Jim Jones's cut is getting worse. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rua walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Rua lands an elbow just above Jones 's eye. Rua breaks from the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Rua does a little dance to reset his feet. Rua fakes the leg kick and cracks Jones in the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua clinches up against the cage. Rua's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rua throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Rua lands a head kick!
Rua closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage. Rua landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Rua is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A nice glancing elbow lands by Rua.
And that's the end of the fight! Gabriel Rua comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rua has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fallon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Province on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fallon swings for the body but Province moves out of range.
Province throws a series of punches but Fallon moves out of range. Province shoots for a takedown but Fallon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fallon lands a nice hook to Province's body. Province takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Province looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Province keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A bone on bone clash there as Fallon blocks the leg kick.
Fallon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Province's head. Province doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Province looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. A lazy left from Fallon finds it's target.
Province is rocked! Fallon is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Province flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Province is out cold! Fallon holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Cunha chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Santa Cruz can pounce on him.
Santa Cruz gets a clinch. Cunha prevents Santa Cruz from breaking the clinch. Cunha turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cunha manages to end up in side control. Santa Cruz on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Cunha in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Cunha wants to control for a moment but Santa Cruz uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cunha is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cunha wants to take a breather but Santa Cruz is having none of it. Santa Cruz is trying to stand up here but Cunha is controlling him well. Santa Cruz wants to get back to full guard.

But Santa Cruz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Santa Cruz! Cunha wants to sweep but no luck. Santa Cruz is looking to work some ground and pound but Cunha has wrist control. Santa Cruz wants to stand but Cunha has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cunha is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santa Cruz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cunha is in Santa Cruz's guard. Santa Cruz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

But no, Santa Cruz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cunha but great work by Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz landing strikes from the mount and Cunha is in trouble! Cunha tries to lock up and control but Santa Cruz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Santa Cruz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cunha is surviving well by controlling Santa Cruz's body position as best he can. Santa Cruz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

A chopping leg kick lands by Muang. Muang attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Muang dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alonso. That did some damage! Alonso chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Muang can pounce on him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikil throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Commodore feints and then cracks Nikil's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nikil down. Nikil connects with a jab. Commodore fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nikil. Kenrick Nikil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nikil looks to land a right hand but Commodore moved out of range. Nice jab there from Commodore. Commodore wants to clinch up but Nikil keeps it at a distance. Commodore connects with an inside leg kick. Nikil keeps the fight on the outside. Nikil misses with a looping right. Nikil looks to score with a jab to the body but Commodore is just out of range. Commodore tries to clinch but Nikil moves out of range. Commodore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Commodore lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nikil's sensitive parts. It looks like Kenrick Nikil has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nikil misses with a body shot.
Commodore scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Commodore scoring well with a low kick there.

Commodore tries to close the distance and clinch but Nikil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Commodore lands a leg kick that knocks Nikil off balance momentarily. Commodore lands with a cross. Nikil circles away from the clinch attempt.
A low kick from Nikil is predictable there and Commodore counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nikil has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Commodore.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikil throws a leg kick that is checked and Commodore counters with a head kick. That will keep Nikil thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Commodore lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nikil backs up against the cage.

That has opened up Kenrick Nikil's cut even more. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Commodore.
