The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Flash looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cruz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Flash makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Cruz shoots and misses and Flash counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Cruz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Flash just stands there and leans against the cage. Flash tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Flash is trying to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling him. Cruz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Flash gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominick Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Flash with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Cruz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Flash is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Flash has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cruz regains guard immediately. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Flash postures up.
Cruz wants to stand but Flash is controlling the position. Cruz pulls Flash in close to his closed guard and prevents Flash from doing any damage or advancing position. Flash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Flash doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cruz is tightening it up a little... Flash has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Flash reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Flash taps out! Nice BJJ there by Cruz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Labuschagne to the ground. Williams is now in Labuschagne's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Labuschagne is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams wants to improve his position but Labuschagne is controlling well.
Williams looking for submissions off his back. Williams looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Labuschagne is trying to control. Williams wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Labuschagne pulls his head out easily. That was a close round but I would say that Phil Williams will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

And that's the end of the fight! Sarel Labuschagne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Labuschagne has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Tatarata's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tatarata taking some punishment here, with Anderson in his half guard. Anderson thows a huge punch but Tatarata dodges it nicely.
Tatarata wants to get back to full guard. Tatarata regains full guard. Nicely done. Tatarata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatarata keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Tatarata has a loose triangle. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tatarata has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Anderson is really squeezing tight and eventually Tatarata passes out! Anderson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Eight looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hunter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Eight manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Eight thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Hunter forces his way into half guard. Hunter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hunter works his way into side control. Hunter cracks Eight with a big right hand but Eight just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Eight is trying to escape the position but Hunter is controlling the position. Hunter is working Eight over with some ground and pound from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Eight taking a bit of punishment here - Hunter scoring with strikes. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Eight has eaten all the pies! Hunter in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter scoring with punches and elbows. Hunter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Eight to see if he's OK.
Eight is rocked! Hunter landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Eight is still in real trouble! Can Hunter finish him? Hunter scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Eight is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Hunter can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nut thuds his right hand into Suokas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A big left from Suokas misses. Suokas throws a shot to the body.
