Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manifesto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zod.
Zod throws a right hand that Manifesto ducks under and follows up with a left that Manifesto also avoids with ease.
Zod keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zod lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zod lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Manifesto backs up against the cage.
Manifesto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zod keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zod stuffs the takedown attempt from Manifesto. Manifesto gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Manifesto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zod digs a good body shot into Manifesto's ribs.
Manifesto shoots in but Zod avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Manifesto looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Manifesto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manifesto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zod is now in Manifesto's guard. A big mistake from Manifesto there, giving up the dominant position!
Manifesto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Manifesto.
Horrible takedown by Manifesto or perhaps it was just good defense by Zod which made him look bad.
Zod jabs at Manifesto's body.
Manifesto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zod sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Manifesto somewhat.
Zod wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Zod lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Manifesto backs up against the cage.

Manifesto clinches.
Zod is pressed up against the cage. Manifesto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zod down to the mat. Zod avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Zod stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zod wants it to stay on the feet.
General Zod is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Manifesto is breathing heavily.

Zod connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Zod!
Manifesto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Manifesto is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Manifesto switches off momentarily and Zod cracks him with a monster right hand! Manifesto topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Zod dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Zod!

Benitez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fashigadow circles away quickly and effectively.
Benitez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benitez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Fashigadow tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Benitez swivels and escapes.
Fashigadow looks gassed!
Benitez tries to clinch up but Fashigadow circles away and keeps his distance.
Benitez wobbles Fashigadow with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Benitez dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Fashigadow to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Quintes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Magavin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matthew Cozad.
