The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sackett.
Wood cracks the inside of Sackett's front leg.
Wood stuffs the takedown attempt from Sackett. Sackett gets slowly back to his feet.
Sackett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wood tries to clinch but Sackett moves out of range.
A low kick from Wood is predictable there
and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.
Sackett swats away the attempt to clinch by Wood.
Sackett cracks Wood with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sackett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sackett swings for the body but Wood moves out of range.

Sackett throws the left hand but Wood avoids the punch easily.

Wood lands a head kick. Sackett smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sackett has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wood.
Wood connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wood moves in looking to clinch but Sackett pushes him off.
Wood throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.

Some bone on bone action there as Sackett checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Wood chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sackett can pounce on him.

Wood blocks a low kick nicely.
Wood plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Sackett counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wood is breathing heavily.
Wood throws a sloppy head kick
and Sackett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wood won't be happy with that.
Sackett cracks Wood with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sackett lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Wood is rocked!
Sackett scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Wood is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sackett can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Falcon Sackett!
