Prohaska feints and then cracks Couture's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Couture down.

Dragunov lands with a hook. Rection tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Dragunov throws a push kick but Rection slaps the foot to one side.
Some bone on bone action there as Rection checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Dragunov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dragunov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Good leg kick by Dragunov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rection has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dragunov.

Dragunov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rection. That did some damage!

Dragunov lands with an uppercut that bounces Rection off the cage and back into rage.
Dragunov lands a really nice looking cross but Rection seems unphased.

Hugh G Rection's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Dragunov lands a big uppercut and Rection crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rection looks OK. Dragunov waves Rection back to his feet!

Rection is rocked!

Jeez, Hugh G Rection's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Dragunov throws a head kick but Rection moves out of range.

Dragunov drops Rection with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rection looks back up at him and smiles so Dragunov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Rection is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hugh G Rection's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Maxim Dragunov!
