The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Salazar wants to pass to mount but Rostecki is defending the position. Rostecki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salazar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Salazar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Salazar trying to mount his opponent but Rostecki defends it. Rostecki is looking to improve his position.
Salazar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rostecki knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Salazar working Rostecki over with strikes. Salazar is looking to advance position but Rostecki won't allow it. Salazar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Salazar lands with a punch from half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salazar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Salazar working for a guillotine from mount but Rostecki is in no mood to give up. Salazar avoids the attempt from Rostecki to control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Salazar landing punches. Rostecki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Salazar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rostecki manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alvaro Salazar dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Salazar scores with a takedown into Rostecki's guard. Rostecki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rostecki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salazar is one step ahead there. Alvaro Salazar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Salazar advances position into side control! Salazar creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Salazar lands a decent elbow from side control. Salazar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salazar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Check out the look on Salazar's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salazar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Salazar is working Rostecki over with some ground and pound from side control. Salazar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rostecki is trying to buck Salazar off. Salazar has hold of Rostecki's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rostecki seems comfortable defending it but Salazar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rostecki is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rostecki is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Salazar couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Suarez. Suarez drives through with a takedown into guard. Suarez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Suarez pushes down on McCarty's leg and manages to get into half guard. Suarez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCarty's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCarty blocking the ground and pound attempt from Suarez. Suarez is pressing down on McCarty's thigh, looking to free his foot. McCarty is holding on for now. Suarez trying to control the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Trinidad Suarez. McCarty tries to clinch but Suarez moves away and Suarez counters with a takedown into side control. Suarez has knee on belly and moves into mount. The referee warns McCarty that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Suarez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCarty's face.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McCarty is bucking up trying to escape but Suarez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
McCarty is rocked! Suarez lands a big shot to the head and McCarty winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young throws a series of punches but Marihuanich avoids them all with ease. Marihuanich checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Young moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Bariga Marihuanich has been cut. Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marihuanich circles away quickly and effectively. Young lands a nice looking body shot.
Young tries a head kick but it misses.
Marihuanich shoots in for a takedown but Young shows good takedown defense. Young looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marihuanich is fending him off so far but Young persists. Nope, Marihuanich circles away and we're back to standing. Young misses with a few strikes there.

Young throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marihuanich works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Marihuanich wants to sweep but no luck. Young drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Marihuanich dives on top into guard. Young wants to stand and escape but Marihuanich is having none of it. Young has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Marihuanich should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Young has tightened it up now! Marihuanich should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slavsky thuds his shin into the meat of Alexandrov's side. Slavsky throws a head kick that misses. Alexandrov could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Alexandrov drives through with a takedown into Slavsky's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Alexandrov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Alexandrov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slavsky for as long as he can get away with. Slavsky wants to sweep but no luck. Alexandrov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're going to have a standup here because Alexandro Alexandrov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Slavsky shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alexandrov eats them both and turns towards Slavsky to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slavsky's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Slavsky duly obliges. Slavsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slavsky lands a lovely overhand right. Slavsky displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Alexandrov looks for a takedown but Slavsky sprawls well. Alexandrov dives in and grabs Slavsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slavsky pushes down on Alexandrov's head and hops out. Alexandrov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Alexandrov there as he acknowledges the shot. Alexandrov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slavsky. Slavsky looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alexandrov closes the distance and clinches up with Slavsky, looking for a takedown. Alexandrov pushes Slavsky against the cage but Slavsky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexandro Alexandrov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alexandrov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Slavsky lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Alexandrov fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexandro Alexandrov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alexandrov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Alexandrov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A lazy left from Slavsky finds it's target. Slavsky connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ivan Slavsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slavsky lands a nice hook to Alexandrov's body. Alexandrov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Slavsky lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Slavsky swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Alexandrov. Slavsky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Slavsky lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Ivan Slavsky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alexandrov is rocked! Slavsky feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Alexandrov collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dag feints and as Cavalli raises his hands in defense, Dag changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dag cracks Cavalli with a solid left hand. Dag throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cavalli works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cavalli is breathing heavily. Dag in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cavalli wants to stand but Dag is controlling the position. Dag lands a couple of digs.
Cavalli is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dag with a flurry of punches that miss. Oh Cavalli is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dag is looking to work some ground and pound but Cavalli has wrist control. Cavalli seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dag throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dag accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Sedov with that takedown attempt. Ranetka throws out a loose jab but Sedov uses good head movement to avoid it. Sedov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ranetka circles away. Sedov blocks a head kick by Ranetka.
Ranetka throws a low kick but Sedov avoids it. Ranetka misses with a series of wild punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis stalks Trendell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Trendell's face. Trendell staggers backwards, shaken. Trendell tries a head kick but it misses.

Lewis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trendell was covering up waiting for the punch and Lewis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lewis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lewis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The fight stays on the outside here - Tasapaksu looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bruce Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tasapaksu throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A low kick from Tasapaksu is predictable there and Li counters with a thumping low kick. Tasapaksu looks to score with a jab to the body but Li is just out of range. Li misses with the combination.
