The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uesugi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Well, if Uesugi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Uesugi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nash is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John McDowell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Deal! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Deal finds it's target. A momentary lapse in concentration from McDowell enables Deal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McDowell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. McDowell is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Deal dives into side control.
McDowell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Deal controls the position from side control. Deal has hold of McDowell's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McDowell tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Deal cranks the arm and McDowell screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McDowell, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taylor Ross! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deeds tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ross swats him away and circles back towards the center. Horrible takedown by Ross or perhaps it was just good defense by Deeds which made him look bad. Deeds fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ross. Ross shoots in but no luck this time. Ross shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deeds napping and manages to drive through into side control! Deeds pushes Ross away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ross gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ross tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ross has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ross tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ross is trying to get an arm triangle but Deeds is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ross thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ross tries for a kimura but Deeds is defending well. Deeds is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ross's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Deeds wants to get back to full guard. Ross seems to be working for a kimura but Deeds defends the submission attempt. Ross is trying to control. Deeds wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross prevents Deeds from improving his position. Ross is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Deeds is just riding it out for now. Ross eventually gives up the hold. Ross looks gassed! Deeds trying to hold on to Ross's head to control him but Ross postures up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Deeds trying to control but Ross postures up.
Deeds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ross on the ground.

Ross is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ross is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ross has control of Deeds's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Deeds regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Deeds defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deeds is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ross stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Mister Deeds is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ross. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ross goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Deeds has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ross but great work by Deeds. Ross is working to avoid the ground and pound but Deeds connects with a decent elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Deeds wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ross keeps working. Deeds connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ross some visible discomfort.
Deeds decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ross to his feet. Ross blocks a head kick by Deeds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Ross dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Deeds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Deeds jabs at Ross's body. Ross is trying hard to land a takedown here. Deeds sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ross tries for a takedown but Deeds circles away easily and Deeds counters with a solid body kick. Deeds throws a right hand that Ross ducks under and follows up with a left that Ross also avoids with ease. Deeds throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Deeds. Deeds lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Taylor Ross has been cut. Ross is breathing heavily. Deeds scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ross will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mister Deeds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taylor Ross. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Deeds stalks Ross and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ross's face. Ross staggers backwards, shaken.
Ross is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Deeds circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Ross drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Deeds follows Ross to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corey Jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Bowmen circles away.
Corey Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Bowmen moves out of range easily. Corey Jr misses with a head kick.
Corey Jr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bowmen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Corey Jr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Corey Jr unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bowmen lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Bowmen tries to circle away but Corey Jr has him pinned against the cage. Bowmen can't break the clinch.

Nice body punch from Corey Jr - that landed with a thud.
Corey Jr putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bowmen in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Corey Jr is trying to drag Bowmen to the mat but Bowmen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Corey Jr lands a body punch. Corey Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corey Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bowmen walks into a left hand. Corey Jr misses with a few strikes there.

Bowmen throws a right hand that Corey Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Corey Jr also avoids with ease. Bowmen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bowmen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Corey Jr lands with a slapping head kick. Bowmen fails to land the takedown. Mike Corey Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bowmen. Corey Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Corey Jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Corey Jr wants it to stay on the feet. Bowmen has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Corey Jr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bowmen regains guard.
Corey Jr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Corey Jr is in close to Bowmen's body, working some short punches and elbows. Corey Jr drops back looking for a leg! Bowmen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bowmen manages to kick Corey Jr off! Corey Jr jumps back into Bowmen's guard. Corey Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Corey Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Corey Jr stands up over Bowmen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bowmen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Corey Jr landing with the ground and pound. Corey Jr sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bowmen's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corey Jr prevents Bowmen from improving his position. Corey Jr sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bowmen defending well though. Corey Jr maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bowmen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Corey Jr has cracked it and Bowmen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Corey Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee moves in looking to clinch but Stone pushes him off. Lee instigates a clinch. Lee scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Abe Stone has been cut. Stone takes a knee right on the jaw!
Stone is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lee pulls him back up using the underhooks. Lee is pressed up against the cage. Stone has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lee down to the mat. Lee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lee clinches up with Stone and pushes him back against the cage. Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee is looking to clinch. Lee leaves Stone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abe Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lee tries to clinch but fails miserably and Stone counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Stone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Stone is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lee blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stone. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lee is trying to maintain the position but Stone is very close to passing his half guard. Stone is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stone misses with a head shot. Lee uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stone throws a strike but Lee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stone is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lee has his hands clasped together but Stone extends an breaks Lee's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Stone.
