The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sissoko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bot.
Bot throws a low kick, looking for Sissoko's leg but Sissoko calmly moves out of range.

Sissoko gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bot takes a shot to the head.
Sissoko lands a good knee to the midsection. Bot won't want to take too many of those.
Bot drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sissoko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sissoko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sissoko.

Bot dives in and scores a takedown into Sissoko's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sissoko is looking to stand up but Bot isn't so interested in that idea.

Sissoko is working an open guard so Bot takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bot. Sissoko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sissoko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bot wants the takedown. Sissoko is fighting it off but Bot persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sissoko's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sissoko wants to stand and escape but Bot is having none of it.

Bot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bot decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sissoko, up you get!

Bot jumps guard and drags Sissoko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Sissoko wants to stand but Bot has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Bot has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sissoko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bot tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sissoko is one step ahead there.
Bot wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bot loads up on a big right hand but Sissoko slips the punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bot has hold of Sissoko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sissoko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rome paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rome lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Rome lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and Rome counters with a right hand to the body.
Rome lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rome lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Good exchange - Rome coming out on top.
Rome throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rome throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
