Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yogi Bushido! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuya Takeda! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeda throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bushido's head. Takeda stuffs the takedown. Takeda lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Bushido fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Takeda misses with a two punch combination.
Takeda keeps the fight on the outside. Bushido takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bushido is looking to clinch. Bushido fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yogi Bushido. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takeda throws a sloppy head kick and Bushido moves out of range easily. Takeda connects with a leg kick. Bushido looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Takeda throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Takeda as Bushido shoots in. Bushido shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takeda pinned against the cage. Takeda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Takeda connects with an inside leg kick. Bushido tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Takeda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bushido tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Takeda lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Takeda throws a sloppy head kick and Bushido moves out of range easily. Bushido shoots in but no luck this time. Bushido darts in trying to clinch and Takeda makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Takeda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bushido stuffs the takedown attempt from Takeda. Takeda gets slowly back to his feet. Bushido throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Takeda rushes Bushido and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Takeda is looking to break free of the clinch but Bushido has double underhooks. Takeda looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bushido jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Takeda is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bushido looking for a guillotine here but Takeda defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bushido is trying to control the position but Takeda postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bushido manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takeda manages to get himself to full guard.
Bushido stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bushido decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kazuya Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takeda connects with an inside leg kick. Bushido goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Bushido forces Takeda back against the cage and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeda breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bushido is defended easily by Takeda. Takeda throws a series of punches but Bushido moves out of range. Bushido slaps away a takedown attempt from Takeda, before circling back to the center of the mat. Takeda looks gassed! Bushido stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Takeda. Takeda misses with an attempted mid kick.
A head kick misses from Bushido. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takeda throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bushido tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takeda paws at him with a jab and circles away. Horrible takedown by Bushido or perhaps it was just good defense by Takeda which made him look bad. Takeda walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kazuya Takeda will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Takeda with a body punch. A glancing blow. Takeda plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Takeda scores with a kick to the midsection. Takeda throws a head kick that misses. Bushido feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Takeda is looking to stand back up but Bushido counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Takeda. Bushido wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takeda keeps working. Takeda taking some punishment here, with Bushido in his half guard. Bushido has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bushido landing punches. Takeda is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bushido putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bushido looking to finish Takeda with some ground and pound. This is bad for Takeda! Bushido looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bushido trying to control but Takeda is having none of it. Takeda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bushido. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bushido is really struggling to control Takeda but he's trying to hold on to the position. Bushido is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Takeda has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bushido goes for an armbar but Takeda turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Takeda. Bushido working for a triangle but Takeda defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takeda wants to stand and escape but instead Bushido has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Takeda wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bushido manages to pass to side control. Bushido seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takeda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeda has his hands clasped together around Bushido's back. He's all about the action. Takeda is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takeda can do anything to dispel that myth. Takeda is not content to let Bushido control the position. Takeda is looking to escape. Bushido stands up from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bushido throws a head kick that misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bushido. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yogi Bushido dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Takeda explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Bushido moves into the clinch. Takeda wants to break free but Bushido has control.

Kazuya Takeda seems to be getting the better of the standup. Takeda throws a wild body kick that Bushido sees coming a mile off. Yogi Bushido is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Takeda lands a nice looking body kick. Takeda shoots in looking for a takedown. Bushido tries to sprawl out of it but Takeda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bushido manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bushido changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Takeda tries to avoid it but Bushido manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Takeda to the ground. Takeda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Takeda misses with a kick to the body.
Bushido takes a swing at Takeda's ribcage but misses. Takeda lands with a kick to the temple. Bushido shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Takeda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bushido shoots in for a takedown but Takeda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A slapping leg kick lands for Takeda.
Bushido throws a right and a left that Takeda avoids nicely. Takeda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bushido. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yogi Bushido. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bushido drops his hands momentarily and Takeda takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Takeda throws a body punch but Bushido moves out of range. Nice takedown defense from Takeda. No joy for Bushido on that attempt. Takeda throws a head kick but Bushido moves out of range.

Takeda fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Takeda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bushido has his takedown stuffed and Takeda counters by clinching up.

Takeda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bushido wants to clinch. A leg kick checked by Takeda. A looping hook to the body misses from Bushido. Takeda does a little dance to reset his feet. Takeda swinging wildly here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bushido tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takeda swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bushido connects with a good right hand that stumbles Takeda. Takeda circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Takeda avoids the head kick by Bushido.

Yoshihira shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sanchaz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sanchaz slowing the pace effectively. Sanchaz drags the fight down to the ground.
Yoshihira looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Yoshihira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yoshihira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yoshihira avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Yoshihira tries to bum rush Sanchaz with a series of wild strikes but Sanchaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanchaz blocks a head kick by Yoshihira.

Sanchaz is working Yoshihira over with some ground and pound from side control. Sanchaz stands up and we're back to a striking position. Sanchaz scores with a hook to the body. Yoshihira takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sanchaz has managed to clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Raul Sanchaz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A nice left hand lands by Sanchaz.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sanchaz controlling the position easily from mount. Let's hope that Sanchaz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Raul Sanchaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sanchaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Tigulang grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kush! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
