The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao shoots in and drives through. Goossens sprawls well.
Goossens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Goossens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Goossens slaps away a takedown attempt from Lao, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Goossens throws a series of punches but Lao avoids them all with ease.
Goossens drops his hands momentarily and Lao takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Goossens drops Lao with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lao looks back up at him and smiles so Goossens waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Fox Lao has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lao works Goossens's body with a nice hook.
Goossens looks to land a combination but Lao avoids it well.
Goossens sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Lao's defenses. It connects perfectly with Lao's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Chris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chris might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kapag Ako'y Bumabalik. Smith is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sakuraba's Theme. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chris but Chris pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Chris shoots in and drives through. Smith sprawls well.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Chris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Chris lands a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
