Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frodo Baggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Take Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frodo Baggs had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Downs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Penn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Penn shrugs it off.
Downs postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Penn looks a forlorn figure.

Downs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Penn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Downs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Penn pulls his head out easily.
Guy Downs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Penn has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Downs defend it? Penn steps over the head and cranks it - Downs is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Penn!
