Cannon shoots in looking for a takedown but Castro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cannon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Cannon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Castro.
Castro takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders throws a right and a left that Severn avoids nicely.
Sanders lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sanders misses with a wild body shot.
Sanders fails to land with a series of punches.
A combination from Sanders does no damage.
Severn needs to keep his hands up - Sanders had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Dan Severn has been cut.
Severn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sanders shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Severn eats them both and turns towards Sanders to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Severn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanders digs a good hook to Severn's body.
Sanders scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Severn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Severn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sanders misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Damien Sanders is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sanders lands a jab to the head.
Sanders swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Severn dives in and grabs Sanders's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes down on Severn's head and hops out.
Sanders takes a swing at Severn's ribcage but misses.
Sanders cracks Severn with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Severn falls to his knees and Sanders doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
