The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre clobbers Makushimaru with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Makushimaru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grazier dodges the punch combination from McLellan.
McLellan stuffs the takedown attempt from Grazier. Grazier gets slowly back to his feet.
McLellan throws a head kick but Grazier moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Grazier or perhaps it was just good defense by McLellan which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Grazier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Grazier drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Grazier as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! McLellan screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Grazier! Nice submission victory there!

Rayne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kennedy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rayne is just riding it out for now. Kennedy eventually gives up the hold.

Kennedy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rayne defends it well.
