A momentary lapse in concentration from Mata enables Shields to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mata manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Shields is looking to work some ground and pound but Mata has wrist control. Mata is trying to control the position but Shields postures up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fucker connects with an inside leg kick. Fucker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Raimi. A head kick misses from Raimi. Fucker's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fucker duly obliges.
It looks like Inti Raimi has been cut. Fucker tries a head kick but it misses.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Raimi throwing strikes here but Fucker is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fucker throws a sloppy head kick and Raimi moves out of range easily. Raimi staying out of range there.
