Targaryen tries to keep at a distance but Cenifovic has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cenifovic decides to pull guard. Targaryen passes Cenifovic's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cenifovic is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cenifovic is looking to control Targaryen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cenifovic avoid being mounted? Cenifovic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cenifovic tries to get out of the position. Cenifovic is trying to get back to full guard. Targaryen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Ismet Cenifovic just wasn't active enough.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Brodeur is looking for a sweep.  It looks like Punaney Jackson has been cut. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson misses with a wild combination.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duncan has chosen Moonlit Masquerade as his entrance music. Eric Stone had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duncan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Duncan tries for a takedown but Stone sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stone lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Stone connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Duncan's hands. Stone looks to land a combination. Duncan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Stone lands a nice shot to the body.

OKeefe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. OKeefe working away. OKeefe in side control, throwing shots but Yadav defends. Yadav struggling a bit here. Yadav regains half guard. Yadav is trying to maintain the position but OKeefe is very close to passing his half guard. Yadav might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control OKeefe kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Samuel thows a big elbow that misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Samuel lands a couple of digs. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Samuel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kierzkowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas. Turner throws a body punch but Thomas moves out of range. Thomas looks to land a body kick but Turner moved away. Turner looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range. Turner keeps the fight on the outside. Turner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Turner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Turner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Thomas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Turner's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Thomas with a flurry of punches that miss. Turner wants to stand but Thomas is controlling the position. Turner looking for a sweep. Not yet Turner, not yet. Thomas thows a big elbow that misses.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Thomas is looking to work some ground and pound but Turner has wrist control. This has been an exciting period of action! Turner managing to control the position. Thomas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Turner misses with a wild body shot. Turner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thomas.

That was a close round but I would say that Doc Thomas will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thomas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Thomas throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Thomas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Turner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thomas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turner wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Thomas.
