Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kalevi Kumijalka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paavo Matinheimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kumijalka comes to the cage accompanied by compella & the twister - put ur weed up. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalevi Kumijalka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paavo Matinheimo! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kumijalka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matinheimo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kumijalka tries to clinch there but Matinheimo circles away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kumijalka enables Matinheimo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kumijalka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Matinheimo throws and elbow that misses. Kumijalka uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Matinheimo's guard. Nice move by Kumijalka! Kumijalka wants to get up but he can't break Matinheimo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Matinheimo pushes Kumijalka off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Kumijalka turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Matinheimo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kumijalka tries to sprawl out of it but Matinheimo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kumijalka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kumijalka gets tackled into the cage by Matinheimo. Matinheimo maintains the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Matinheimo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kumijalka, pushing him back against the cage. Kumijalka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matinheimo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Matinheimo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kumijalka as he avoids it easily. Matinheimo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kumijalka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kumijalka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Matinheimo has hold of one of Kumijalka's legs. Kumijalka is fighting the takedown attempt but Matinheimo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Kumijalka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Matinheimo is controlling him. Matinheimo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kumijalka tries to avoid it but Matinheimo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kumijalka to the ground. Kumijalka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Matinheimo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kumijalka is looking to clinch. Matinheimo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matinheimo thows a huge punch but Kumijalka dodges it nicely.

Matinheimo is looking for a kimura but Kumijalka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Matinheimo to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kumijalka kicks off Matinheimo and gets to his feet. Matinheimo shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paavo Matinheimo will probably get the nod. That's time! Kumijalka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kumijalka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Matinheimo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Matinheimo tries to pull guard but Kumijalka won't allow it.
Kumijalka is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Matinheimo is looking to break free of the clinch but Kumijalka has double underhooks. Kumijalka blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kumijalka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Matinheimo swings away with a leg kick that misses. Matinheimo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kumijalka. Kumijalka obviously looking to wear him down.

Matinheimo scores a takedown into full mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kumijalka is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Paavo Matinheimo has got the better of the ground game so far. A nice elbow there by Matinheimo. BOOM! Matinheimo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Matinheimo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kumijalka is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matinheimo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kumijalka kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. A nice elbow there by Matinheimo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kumijalka tries to buck Matinheimo off but he can't manage it. Matinheimo lands a big elbow. Matinheimo cracks Kumijalka with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kumijalka takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Matinheimo's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

O Neil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bernardi moves away. Bernardi connects with a leg kick. O Neil looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Alessio Bernardi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bernardi throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by O Neil. Bernardi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. O Neil misses with a jab, cross combination.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee dives in and grabs Drago's left leg, looking for a takedown. Drago pushes down on Lee's head and hops out. Lee digs a good body shot into Drago's ribs. A punch combination from Drago misses. Lee darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Drago. Drago circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Drago displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab. Lee throws an overhand right that lands on Drago's shoulder, as Drago tries to avoid the shot. Good exchange - Drago coming out on top. Drago lands a left and a right that send Lee crashing to the mat, dazed. Drago thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Drago is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Lee is breathing heavily. Drago manages to break the clinch.
