Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Johnson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rolf Ogen! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson checks a low kick from Ogen. Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ogen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ogen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Johnson seems to have locked his on tight now - Ogen screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Johnson, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Brown scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Blue circles away from the clinch attempt and Blue counters with a single leg into guard. Brown didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blue sitting in guard here, content to control. Brown wants to stand and escape but Blue is having none of it. Blue trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blue looking to pass the guard. Brown is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Blue dives into side control.
Brown bucks up and tries to throw Blue off but instead Blue has got his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is trying to get back to his feet but Blue has full control of the position and if anything, Brown has just worked his way into a worse spot. Blue scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Brown is looking for a way out. Brown staying busy and making it hard for Blue to control. Brown is trying to stand back up. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Blue.
Blue working for the choke. Brown wants to get back to his feet. Brown takes a big shot to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brown has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown looks gassed! Blue scores with punches from the back.
Blue biding his time, controlling Brown. Blue is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Brown. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brown defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Blue's arms. Blue is looking for the choke from the back position but Brown is controlling his hands well. Blue lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Can Brown hold on?! Blue is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Brown is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blue lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Blue is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Brown up.
Blue lands a shot to the body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blue trying to control momentarily.
Brown is trying to get back to his feet but Blue has full control of the position and if anything, Brown has just worked his way into a worse spot. Brown grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Blue keeps control of the position easily here as Brown tries to buck him off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Blue.
Blue connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Brown to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blue has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Brown. Blue scores with punches from the back.

Brown is rocked! Blue is raining down hard shots and and Brown has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
