These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Rotch moves out of range easily. Rotch misses with a body kick. Rotch lands with a kick to the temple. Jackson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Question Jackson has been cut. Jackson throws a combination that misses and Rotch makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jackson really felt that one! Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rotch drops Jackson with a huge uppercut! Jackson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Rotch is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lockhart shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lockhart is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lockhart lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lockhart looking to pass the guard. Lockhart thows a big elbow that misses. McDowell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McDowell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lockhart landing with the ground and pound. Lockhart lands a couple of elbows. Lockhart works over McDowell with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lockhart works over McDowell with some ground and pound from guard.
McDowell is rocked! Lockhart lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. McDowell is still in real trouble! Can Lockhart finish him? Lockhart working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McDowell's head. Lockhart chips away with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDowell has momentary wrist control but Lockhart slips an elbow through the middle. Lockhart postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! McDowell covers up, he's hurt! Lockhart keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lockhart and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lockhart can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Smith! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Owens wants to clinch. Roman Owens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Owens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Owens tries to clinch but Smith moves away and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Owens drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Owens fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A big right from Smith misses. Smith on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith rushes Owens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Owens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owens shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smith is trying to defend but Owens finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Smith tries to get to full guard but Owens has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Owens is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Owens tries to stand and escape but Smith actually recovers to full guard. Owens wants to stand but Smith is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smith trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Roman Owens wasn't doing enough on the ground. Owens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Smith fails with the takedown. Owens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Smith tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Owens is in Smith's guard. Owens looking to sit in guard and control but Smith gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Owens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smith throws and elbow that misses. Owens uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by Owens! Smith keeping moving, preventing Owens from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Owens wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position. Owens would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Roman Owens just wasn't active enough. Owens closes the distance looking to clinch and Smith counters with a lovely shot to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Owens tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance. Owens moves out of range as Smith strikes. Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Roman Owens will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Owens rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage. Owens taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith misses with a wild body shot. Owens ducks under a wild hook from Smith. The fight stays on the outside here - Owens looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Owens moves into the clinch. Owens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owens tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Smith gets the takedown into side control. Owens bucks up and tries to throw Smith off but instead Smith has got his back! Smith lands with a hammerfist to the side of Owens's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Owens controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Smith misses with a punch to the head. Owens has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Smith. Smith biding his time, looking for the opening.
Owens covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Owens trying to control the position but Smith manages to sink in the hooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Owens is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Smith gets his way!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith misses with punches from the back. Smith punches Owens on the ear. Owens showing good submission defense here.
Owens rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith thows a huge punch but Owens dodges it nicely.
Smith maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Owens could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Smith has cracked it and Owens is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Smith!

It looks like Jussi Donatello Maansiirtokone has been cut. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maansiirtokone circles away. Maansiirtokone clinches. Jones is looking to control Maansiirtokone's arms but Maansiirtokone gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage. Maansiirtokone has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Maansiirtokone pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Maansiirtokone dives into Jones's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Maansiirtokone wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Maansiirtokone working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Maansiirtokone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Maansiirtokone trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Jones is keeping the position for now. Maansiirtokone decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Maansiirtokone tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maansiirtokone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Maansiirtokone misses with a straight left. Maansiirtokone lands a nice looking body shot.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maansiirtokone manages to end up in side control. Check out the look on Maansiirtokone's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Maansiirtokone is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Maansiirtokone landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!
It looks like Evander Jones has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maansiirtokone scoring with strikes but Jones is staying in there. Maansiirtokone cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Holtik to the mat! Holtik manages to get full guard. Jones is working Holtik over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Holtik had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Holtik pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position. Jones trying to control but Holtik is working from the bottom. Jones drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jones as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Holtik screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jones! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin lunges at Aalto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aalto's hand. Aalto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Griffin. Aalto misses with a double jab
and Griffin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Aalto throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Aalto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Griffin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Aalto blocks a jab. Aalto's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Aalto duly obliges. Griffin misses with a wild combination.
Aalto tries to bum rush Griffin with a series of wild strikes but Griffin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Aalto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aalto misses with the combination.

Griffin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Aalto had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Aalto is breathing heavily. Aalto falls off balance throwing a combination
and Griffin counters with a nice uppercut.
Aalto is rocked! Aalto takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Griffin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Oh Aalto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Griffin jabs Aalto to the body, keeping him at a distance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Aalto gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Griffin points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Aalto wakes up just in time to hear Griffin thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sawyer moves away. Silva cracks Sawyer with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Sawyer falls to his knees and Silva doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
