Roman Owens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Owens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith rushes Owens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Owens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owens shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smith is trying to defend but Owens finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Owens has control of the leg.

Owens is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Owens tries to stand and escape but Smith actually recovers to full guard.
Owens wants to stand but Smith is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Roman Owens just wasn't active enough.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Roman Owens will probably get the nod.
