Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Blew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Cardigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardigan has chosen cold as ice as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Orlando Cardigan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardigan throws a sloppy head kick and Blew moves out of range easily.
Blew lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cardigan misses with a wild body shot.
Cardigan tries to clinch but Blew moves away
and Blew connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cardigan closes the distance looking to clinch
and Blew counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cardigan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blew counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Cardigan forces Blew back against the cage and clinches.
Blew blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Cardigan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Blew's defenses.

Cardigan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Blew has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Orlando Cardigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cardigan feints and as Blew raises his hands in defense, Cardigan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cardigan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cardigan throws a strike but Blew rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cardigan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cardigan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blew gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Blew is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Orlando Cardigan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We're going to have a standup here because Raymond Blew wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Well Cardigan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gun.
Gun showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barnes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gun's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barnes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gun scrambles back to his feet.
Gun looks gassed!

Barnes drops Gun with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gun looks back up at him and smiles so Barnes waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Gun is rocked!

It looks like Tommy Gun has been cut.
Barnes throws an uppercut from hell that sends Gun clean off his feet! He's out cold! Barnes stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
