Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Randy Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mak Mokowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Cote had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Cote moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Cote throws a low kick, looking for Mokowski's leg but Mokowski calmly moves out of range. A head kick from Mokowski lands but Cote takes it in his stride.

Cote tries to close the distance and clinch but Mokowski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mokowski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mokowski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Mokowski does no damage. Cote circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mokowski lands a left and a right that send Cote crashing to the mat, dazed. Mokowski thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McGhee is working for a kimura but Sheilds is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sheilds tries to get to full guard but McGhee has control of the leg. McGhee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sheilds pushes McGhee off looking to stand but McGhee dives back in and keeps control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sheilds is looking to stand up but McGhee isn't so interested in that idea.

and Griffin counters with a slapping leg kick. Griffin throws a low kick but Page moves out of range easily. Griffin lands a leg kick that knocks Page off balance momentarily. Page lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Griffin circles away quickly and effectively. Page takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Griffin throws a sloppy head kick and Page moves out of range easily. Page moves forwards but Griffin connects with a nice, crisp jab. Page swings widly with a right hand
and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
