The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez throws a head kick but Duderson moves out of range.
Duderson throws a sloppy head kick
and Gomez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gomez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duderson as he jumps to the side.
Gomez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gomez shoots in but Duderson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Duderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gomez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Duderson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gomez regains guard immediately.

Williams has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rua clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rua rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rua is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Williams off and has taken his back!
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
I really don't envy Williams right now.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
