The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akari has a takedown stuffed.
Fernandez shoots in but no luck this time.
Fernandez misses with a head kick.
Fernandez throws a front kick that sends Akari stumbling back into the cage.
Akari takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Horrible takedown by Fernandez or perhaps it was just good defense by Akari which made him look bad.
Akari shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fernandez but Fernandez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Akari shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fernandez pinned against the cage. Fernandez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Akari. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fernandez connects with a leg kick. Akari looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fernandez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Akari under the eye.

Fernandez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Akari but Akari pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fernandez gets caught napping as Akari dives in and scores a takedown. Fernandez manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fernandez has his foot on Akari's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Akari works his way back into a safe position though.

Akari is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fernandez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fernandez has escaped and now he's on top!
Fernandez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akari swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fernandez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Akari has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fernandez is looking to defend but Akari has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fernandez! Akari pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fernandez taps out and this one is all over!

Kyle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Arcinas sprawls well. Arcinas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kyle gets slowly back to his feet.

Arcinas has hold of Kyle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kyle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kyle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arcinas defends well.

Arcinas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kyle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arcinas has managed to get both his arms back between Kyle's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Arcinas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kyle back to the cage. Arcinas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Helios Kyle has been cut.
Kyle is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arcinas slaps away a takedown attempt from Kyle, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Arcinas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kyle backs up against the cage.
Arcinas misses with a double jab.
Arcinas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Arcinas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kyle seems to have locked his on tight now - Arcinas screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kyle, as he picks up the win!

King connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fujichrome. Fujichrome circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Matthew Fujichrome has been cut.
Fujichrome fails with the takedown.
King's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and King duly obliges.

A momentary lapse in concentration from King enables Fujichrome to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. King manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

King is working an open guard so Fujichrome takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King throws a series of strikes that have Fujichrome backpedaling.

King Throws a clean left jab. King Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Fujichrome's chin! Fujichrome crumbles to the ground and King follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by King!

Jones throws a nice looking combination but Matic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Jones misses with a hook to the ribs.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Matic is defended easily by Jones.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Matic tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Matic has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Matic tries to clinch up
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Matic throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Matic will be more careful next time no doubt.
