Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tibor Sari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calgary Alberta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tibor Sari had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Calgary Alberta is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sari closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alberta circles away. Alberta feints and as Sari raises his hands in defense, Alberta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sari is on top in guard.
Alberta is trying to control the position but Sari postures up. Alberta is pulling down on Sari's head to control his posture. Sari forces his way into half guard. Alberta flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Alberta throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Sari has his hands clasped together but Alberta breaks the hold and Sari is forced to tap! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Muhammed catches Rodriguez right on the button with a cross. Rodriguez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rodriguez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Muhammed sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Muhammed jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rodriguez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Rodriguez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rodriguez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Muhammed is able to avoid easily. Rodriguez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rodriguez tries for a takedown but Muhammed circles away easily and Muhammed makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Muhammed stuns Rodriguez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rodriguez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Rodriguez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Muhammed counters with a nice uppercut.

Muhammed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rodriguez is breathing heavily. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rodriguez landing punches. Muhammed is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rodriguez looking to secure an arm triangle but Muhammed defends it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Muhammed can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rodriguez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Muhammed is looking to escape. Rodriguez looking to secure an arm triangle but Muhammed defends it well. Rodriguez looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Muhammed can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Rodriguez tries to control but Muhammed wriggling away. Rodriguez lands a heavy elbow. Muhammed throwing hammer fists to the chest of Rodriguez. What's that going to do exactly? Muhammed tries to lock up and control but Rodriguez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rodriguez looking to isolate an arm here. Muhammed doesn't see it coming and as Rodriguez extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rodriguez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bouraka lands a nice shot to the body.
A combination from OKeefe does no damage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from OKeefe is defended easily by Bouraka. Bouraka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. OKeefe doesn't seem bothered though. Nice sprawl there from Bouraka as OKeefe shoots in. Bouraka tries to land a leg kick but OKeefe saw it coming and moves away.
OKeefe looks for a takedown but Bouraka sprawls well. Billy Bouraka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean OKeefe. Bouraka throws a push kick but OKeefe slaps the foot to one side. Bouraka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. OKeefe doesn't seem bothered though. OKeefe looks gassed! Nice body kick from Bouraka. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bouraka connects with a right hand. OKeefe shakes it off. It looks like Sean OKeefe has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bouraka lands with a shot to the body. Bouraka lunges at OKeefe with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by OKeefe's hand. OKeefe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bouraka moves into the clinch successfully.
Bouraka crunches a lovely knee into OKeefe's ribcage. Bouraka just leaning against OKeefe, taking a breather. Bouraka has picked OKeefe up - he's going for a ride! Bouraka dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Bouraka working over OKeefe with some ground and pound. OKeefe looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Bouraka seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bouraka takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bouraka is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. OKeefe is in trouble now - Bouraka has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bouraka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bouraka cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bouraka lands a big shot there that rocks OKeefe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Silva prevents Alexander from getting back to his feet. Alexander is breathing heavily. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva postures up in Alexander's guard and throws a big left but Alexander blocks it. Soto could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Soto tries to land knees in the clinch but Mael avoids the damage to the body. Soto drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mael trying to control the position from guard on top but Soto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
