The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Williams lands a couple of elbows. Williams prevents Cruz from getting back to his feet. Williams drops back looking for a leg! Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruz manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Cruz's guard. Williams thows a big elbow that misses. Williams with a nice head shot there. Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vanderley Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirek Saniewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saniewski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sam przeciwko wszystkim. Vanderley Sylva had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saniewski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sylva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Saniewski slips under a jab. Sylva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sylva there as he acknowledges the shot. Donk. Saniewski catches Sylva right on the button with a cross. Sylva misses with an uppercut. Saniewski with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Saniewski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Vanderley Sylva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saniewski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mirek Saniewski dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sylva steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Saniewski. That one must have hurt. Sylva is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Saniewski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
