We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nordemar looks up at the clock. Bad move! Suzuki lands a right hand from hell, dropping Nordemar. Suzuki pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Henry throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sarcoma stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sarcoma lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sarcoma tries to bum rush Henry with a series of wild strikes but Henry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Henry throws a right and a left that Sarcoma avoids nicely.
Henry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Henry throws a body punch but Sarcoma moves out of range.
Henry misses the shot to the body.
Henry lands with a good body shot.
Sarcoma throws a hook but Henry avoids it easily.
Sarcoma's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Henry connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sarcoma scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Osteo Sarcoma has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sarcoma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ewert gets caught flat footed, as McBride shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
McBride seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McBride lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

McBride wants to control from the top but Ewert keeps moving.
McBride is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that McBride has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Placido was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.

Placido really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Christ connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.

Craig Christ is winning the standup battle so far.
Christ fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diaz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Christ jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well.
Diaz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Christ throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Diaz's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Christ dives in looking to finish as Diaz flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Christ's strikes! Christ is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Diaz's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Diaz was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
