I think Gattuso might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wiz Khalifa - On my level. The key to victory for Ante Gattuso has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gattuso bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gattuso throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wheaton tests Gattuso's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wheaton dodges the punch combination from Gattuso.
Wheaton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gattuso throws a series of punches but Wheaton moves out of range. Wheaton misses with a two punch combination.
Wheaton lands a body shot.
Gattuso misses with a few strikes there.
Wheaton lands with a cross. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big right from Wheaton misses. Gattuso misses with a wild body shot. Gattuso steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wheaton. Wheaton dodges the punch combination from Gattuso.
Wheaton lands a left and a right that send Gattuso crashing to the mat, dazed. Wheaton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Ante Gattuso has been cut. Wheaton Throws a clean left jab. Wheaton Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Gattuso's chin! Gattuso crumbles to the ground and Wheaton follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Wheaton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane keeps the fight on the outside. Sanchez stuffs the takedown. Cane on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sanchez misses with a hook. Cane misses with a takedown and Sanchez counters with a nice uppercut. Sanchez clobbers Cane with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez misses the shot to the body. Sanchez moves into the clinch. Sanchez stops a takedown attempt from Cane.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louis Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cane is looking to take this one to the mat. Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cane won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here. Cane trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cane defends it easily. Cane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cane wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. Cane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cane lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cane trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Cane postures up.
Cane advances position into side control! Sanchez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sanchez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Cane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cane content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cane is working away from the top position though. Cane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cane pulls his head out easily. Cane uses his free foot to push down on Sanchez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanchez. Cane with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Cane trying to control but Sanchez is having none of it. Cane wants to finish this one by submission but Sanchez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cane. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez holds on for dear life. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sanchez tries to hold on but Cane pushes him away. Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cane kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cane is trying to take his opponent's back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sanchez throws out the jab. Sanchez scores with the left hand. Cane knows he should have avoided that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Sanchez misses. Cane gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sanchez gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

and Keates cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dawg takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Keates, as that shot connected.

Dawg moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dawg thows a body shot but no joy. Keates showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dawg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dawg with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Keates to score with a decent uppercut. Keates ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dawg moves away. Dawg misses with a double jab
enabling Keates to counter with a crisp jab. Good standup being displayed there by Keates as he connects with a hook. Keates wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Keates takes a swing at Dawg's ribcage but misses. Keates works Dawg's body with a nice hook. Dawg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Keates circles away quickly and effectively. Dawg takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dawg drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Dawg thuds his right hand into Keates's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Keates scores with a jab. Keates works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Dawg walks into a left hand. T Dawg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Keates connects with a nice looking jab.

Keates lands a glancing blow to the side of Dawg's head. Keates circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Dawg to the canvas! Dawg doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Keates keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

He's pushed Nazario's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A big left from Jammy misses. Jammy connects with a single shot there. Jammy looks to score with a jab to the body but Nazario is just out of range. Nazario fails with the takedown. Nazario uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jammy. Jammy lands with a nice body kick. Jammy dips to his left and cracks Nazario with an uppercut!

Jammy jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nazario from any more punishment! Nazario complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Opal takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Smith lands with a hook. Opal tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Opal tries to clinch up. Smith looks to throw the jab but Opal is out of range. Opal looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Nice jab there from Smith. Opal fails with the takedown and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Nice sprawl there from Smith as Opal shoots in. Decent striking displayed by Smith there. Smith is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Smith lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Opal throws a wild body kick that Smith sees coming a mile off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Opal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Smith connects with a crisp jab. Smith looks to land a right hand but Opal moved out of range. Opal clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage. Smith is trying to push Opal away but Opal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Opal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Opal connects with a nasty looking knee right to Smith's face.
Opal has Smith pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Smith manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Opal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Opal ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Opal no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Smith is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Opal is adopting a defensive guard. Smith controlling from the top position. A wild punch that just about connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith with a body punch. A glancing blow. Opal with a lazy takedown attempt and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A swing and a miss from Smith. A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target. Smith lands a jab.

Smith cracks Opal with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Terrance Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Opal has time to react.
Opal is rocked! Opal looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Opal's shoulder, as Opal tries to avoid the shot. Oh Opal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Smith jabs at Opal's body. Opal seems to have got his legs back now. Opal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away. Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Opal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Opal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Opal. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Danga de danga de dang - Smith scores with a four punch combination! Opal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Opal momentarily.
Opal shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Opal tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terrance Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Terrance Smith gave a mention to xXx - Voodoo Labs - 159+ Energy - $45 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).

Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by DeNero. DeNero tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. DeNero throws a hook but Jones blocks it. Roberto DeNero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DeNero wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. DeNero stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position. DeNero looking to pass the guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. DeNero trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Tribbiani tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Stansbury is able to avoid easily. Stansbury shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tribbiani pinned against the cage. Tribbiani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tribbiani leaves Stansbury with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tribbiani gets a clinch. Tribbiani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stansbury chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tribbiani can pounce on him.

Stansbury slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stansbury tries to clinch but Tribbiani is having none of it.

This has been an exciting period of action! Stansbury bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tribbiani is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tribbiani is breathing heavily. Stansbury in side control lands a decent elbow. Thuram takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Thuram throws a lazy right hand but Hazzard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Thuram misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A low kick from Azteca misses and Pete holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pete putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Azteca in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Pete tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Azteca tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pete's elbow. Pete tries to work over Azteca's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pete stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Azteca misses with a hook from the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pete creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Azteca throws a punch but it's blocked by Pete. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pete takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Azteca is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Pete manages to pull guard.

The ref rips Pete off and cradles Azteca's limp body as Pete celebrates with his corner.
