The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Sturm looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A looping hook to the body misses from St Pierre. Toropainen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tiili moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Toropainen throws an overhand right that lands on Tiili's shoulder, as Tiili tries to avoid the shot. Toropainen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tiili wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tiili fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Toropainen is out of range. Toropainen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Tiili counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Toropainen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Tiili misses with a looping left.

Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tiili throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Toropainen on the side of the head. Nice body punch from Tiili. Tiili thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
