The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hotch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hotch lands in his opponent's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dimagiba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hotch's guard. Dimagiba is looking to work some ground and pound but Hotch has wrist control. Dimagiba missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dimagiba throws a big elbow that misses. Dimagiba distracts Hotch with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hotch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dimagiba is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dimagiba keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hotch's head. Dimagiba wants to control from the top but Hotch keeps moving. Dimagiba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hotch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. This has been an exciting period of action! Dimagiba chips away with some ground and pound.

Hotch stops Dimagiba from getting back to his feet.

Hotch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dimagiba trying to keep a closed guard but Hotch is proving a slippery customer.

Hotch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dimagiba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hotch has managed to get both his arms back between Dimagiba's legs - danger averted. Dimagiba looks gassed! Hotch sitting in guard here, content to control. Hotch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dimagiba for as long as he can get away with. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hotch throws a big right hand that misses. Hotch throws a strike but Dimagiba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Hotch will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Hotch. Dimagiba feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hotch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dimagiba. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Dimagiba lands with a nice combination. Hotch backs away looking to recover. Dimagiba tries to clinch but Hotch moves out of range. Dimagiba drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dimagiba looks up at the clock and then as Hotch takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dimagiba smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hotch can't do much from the bottom here. Hotch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dimagiba on the ground. Hotch is looking to reverse the position. Dimagiba working away. Dimagiba scores with a couple of short elbows. Hotch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hotch parries the strikes from Dimagiba easily there. Dimagiba is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hotch to escape.

Hotch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hotch tries to get out of the position. Dimagiba sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hotch defending well though. Hotch tries to get to full guard but Dimagiba has control of the leg. Hotch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dimagiba's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dimagiba's back! Hotch throwing sloppy strikes. Hotch throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Jones sends Pants crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jones is motioning to the referee to let Pants up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Pillow Pants has been cut. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pants misses with a looping left. Jones cracks Pants with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Pants falls to his knees and Jones doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Jones! Jon Jones took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.

Mankiller needs to keep his hands up - Terra had a free shot at his head there. Bill Terra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mankiller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Terra finds it's way round the side to connect with Mankiller's head. Terra will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mankiller shoots in looking for a takedown but Terra manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mankiller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mankiller is breathing heavily. Terra misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Terra connects with a solid leg kick. Mankiller drops his hands momentarily and Terra takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Terra moves into the clinch successfully.
