Idk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Idk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schwarzeneg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Core tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pile sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Core somewhat.
Pile throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Core stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pile.
Pile moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pile throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pile will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Core has his takedown stuffed
and Pile counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Core is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pile sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hard Core. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pile lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Pile lunges at Core with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Core's hand.
Pile takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pile cracks Core with a right hand to the side of the head.

Core takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pile lands a jab to the nose.
Private Pile is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pile bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Core misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pile connects with a solid leg kick.
Pile throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pile lands with a thumping leg kick.
Core takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pile connects with a jab.
Pile lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pile cracks Core with an open hand slap.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Core chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pile can pounce on him.

Private Pile seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pile fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Core.
Oh Core is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pile throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pile cracks Core with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Core tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Pile pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Core is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Coogan shoots in but Garp avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A left lands for Garp.

It looks like Rob Coogan has been cut.
Garp fails to land with a series of punches.
Coogan closes the distance and clinches up with Garp, looking for a takedown. Coogan pushes Garp against the cage but Garp circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Garp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garp wants it to stay on the feet.
Storm Garp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Coogan.
Coogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garp pinned against the cage. Garp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Garp throws a series of punches but Coogan avoids them all with ease.
Horrible takedown by Coogan or perhaps it was just good defense by Garp which made him look bad.
Rob Coogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garp jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Coogan looks gassed!
Garp ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Coogan's jaw. Coogan's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Garp does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Storm Garp!
In his post fight interview, Storm Garp started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Well, if Bobichus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
