The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson closes the distance and clinches. Maglayon wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hanson tries to land knees in the clinch but Maglayon avoids the damage to the body. Maglayon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maglayon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hanson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Maglayon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hanson is one step ahead there. Hanson trying to control but Maglayon is working from the bottom. Maglayon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hanson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hansonis looking to pass into half guard but Maglayon pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Maglayon is in guard. Maglayon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hanson has his feet on Maglayon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Hanson throws a lazy head kick and Maglayon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Maglayon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Maglayon keeps control of Hanson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Maglayon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Maglayon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Maglayon. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hanson tries to escape but Maglayon is in control. You can see the frustration on Hanson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Maglayon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maglayon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hanson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hanson tries to buck Maglayon off but Maglayon is having none of it. Hanson is trying to control Maglayon's posture but Maglayon avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanson is trying to escape and Maglayon transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hanson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Maglayon! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ferrigno swats him away and circles back towards the center. Walker wants to clinch up but Ferrigno keeps it at a distance. Herschel Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker is looking to clinch but Ferrigno is avoiding it.
Ferrigno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ferrigno closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walker did well to prevent Ferrigno getting side control. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smacks fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Smacks misses with a few strikes there.
Smacks connects with a single shot there. Nice shot lands for Smacks. Cudi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smacks throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Smacks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cudi avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big right from Smacks misses. Smacks scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Cudi scores with a takedown into Smacks's guard. Cudi with a flurry of punches that miss. Cudi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Cudi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cudi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cudi is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cudi trying to control the position from guard on top but Smacks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cudi trying to stand up but can't free himself from Smacks's guard. Cudi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smacks's guard. Cudi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Cudi lands strikes from half guard. Cudi wants to stand up but Smacks has a hold of him and won't allow it. Cudi thows a huge punch but Smacks dodges it nicely.
Smacks is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cudi stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Some bone on bone action there as Smacks checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Honey Smacks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cudi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smacks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cudi cracks Smacks with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Connor circles away from the clinch attempt and Connor counters with a single leg into guard. Savage didn't expect that. Savage is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Connor can do to turn this around? Savage is looking for a triangle but Connor pushes his legs off easily.

Savage moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Savage throws a right hand that Connor ducks under and follows up with a left that Connor also avoids with ease. Connor with a lazy takedown attempt and Savage counters by clinching up. Savage is pushing Connor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Savage tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Connor's elbow.

Savage lands a lovely overhand right. Savage ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Savage is working the combinations to good effect here. Savage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Savage scores with a body shot.

Savage lands with a good body shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Savage, as that shot connected.
Savage lands with a straight right. Connor didn't see that one coming. The fighters circle momentarily. Savage darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Savage swings away with a leg kick that misses. Savage tries to bum rush Connor with a series of wild strikes but Connor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A punch combination from Savage misses. Savage scores with a jab to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Connor fails to land the takedown. Savage scores with a nice strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallace pulls guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Smith stops Wallace from standing up. Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there. Smith postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A chopping leg kick lands by Raheem. Raheem turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Raheem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Raheem throws a nice inside leg kick.
