13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Law! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volker throws a sloppy body shot
and Law makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Volker is looking to land body kicks. Volker lands a jab-cross combination. A looping hook to the body misses from Law. Volker does a little dance to reset his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Volker. Law does a little dance to reset his feet. A jab from Law misses. Law lands a really nice looking cross but Volker seems unphased.
Volker cracks a nice hook into Law's ribs. Volker misses with a kick to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Law. Law misses the shot to the body. Law shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Volker pinned against the cage. Volker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This has been an exciting period of action! Volker blocks a jab. A chopping leg kick lands by Volker. Nice takedown defense from Volker. No joy for Law on that attempt. Volker lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Law is able to avoid easily. Volker misses with a wild body shot. Volker thumps Law with a low kick. Volker defending well as Law loads up on a big left hand. The fighters circling - Volker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Volker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Law moves away. Volker throws out a leg kick but Law moves out of range and Volker only half commits. Volker lands with a nice body kick. Volker slips under a jab from Law. Law shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Volker but Volker pushes him off and we're back to square one. Heinz Volker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Law. Volker misses with a kick to the body.
Law takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Law looks gassed! Volker walks into a stiff left hand from Law. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Law throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Volker is looking to wear down Law with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Law jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Law throws a hook to the side of Volker's head but Volker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Volker!
It looks like Johnny Law has been cut. Volker scores with a nice body kick.

Volker scores with a hook to the body. Law takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Volker lets loose with a powerful body kick. Law will feel that in the morning. Good standup being displayed there by Volker as he connects with a hook. Volker misses the shot to the body. Volker connects with a right hand. Law shakes it off.
Law is rocked! Volker dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Law is still on wobbly legs! Can Volker finish him? Nice straight punches there by Volker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Volker. Volker scores with a hook to the body. Law takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Volker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Volker keeps Law at a distance using the push kick. Volker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Volker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Law. That did some damage!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Volker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Volker fakes the leg kick and cracks Law in the body. Law seems to have recovered his senses. Volker jabs Law right on the nose. Law blinks but takes it well. Volker throws a nice outside leg kick. Volker takes a swing at Law's ribcage but misses. Volker slips a straight right by Law. Volker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Law. Law pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Volker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Nice defenses there by Volker. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Law is defended easily by Volker. Whack! Volker lands a heavy head kick that drops Law. The ref tackles Volker to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Law was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Heinz Volker! After the fight, Heinz Volker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sully throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suzuki. Sully lands with a good body shot. Sully ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sully throws a right and a left that both miss. Suzuki throws a hook to the side of Sully's head but Sully sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Suzuki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sully tries to avoid it but Suzuki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sully to the ground. Sully escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sully throws a shot from downtown. Suzuki moves away and avoids it. Sully shoots in but Suzuki avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sully shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A looping hook to the body misses from Suzuki. Sully does a little dance to reset his feet. Suzuki misses with a low kick. Suzuki slips a jab and a cross from Sully.

Sully avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Suzuki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Suzuki lands a couple of elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sully is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sully wants to sweep here but Suzuki controlling him for the moment.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suzuki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sully wants to stand up but Suzuki is controlling him. Suzuki throws a strike but Sully rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sully trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Suzuki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sully got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suzuki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sully has managed to get both his arms back between Suzuki's legs - danger averted. Sully in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sully working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Suzuki's head. Sully trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Thiago Suzuki will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sully throws a right hand that Suzuki ducks under and follows up with a left that Suzuki also avoids with ease. Suzuki lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sully's sensitive parts. Suzuki tries to clinch up but Sully circles away and keeps his distance. Sully misses with a low kick.
Sully moves into range and connects with a jab. Suzuki scores with a head kick. Sully tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. A punch combination from Sully misses.

Sully postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sully trying to control the position from guard on top but Suzuki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suzuki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sully passes Suzuki's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sully working over Suzuki with some ground and pound. Suzuki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sully connects with a nice short shot to Suzuki's temple. Sully is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Suzuki defends it well. Sully working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Manson tries to get to full guard but Bucket has control of the leg. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kazuki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kazuki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kazuki feints and then cracks Scott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scott down. Kazuki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A combination from Kazuki does no damage. Scott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Scott blocks a jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Kazuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Scott controlling his opponent. Scott throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kazuki because Scott loaded up on that one.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Styles. Bip Bop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Styles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bop misses with a straight left. Bop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Styles on the side of the head. A nice leg kick lands there from Styles. Styles lands a leg kick that knocks Bop off balance momentarily. A combination from Bop does no damage. Nice shot lands for Bop. Bop avoids the head kick by Styles.

Styles lands a brutal head kick. Bop looks out on his feet and Styles throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
