Marks fails to land the takedown. Clancy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marks's waist but Marks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clancy off to one side. Marks is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Clancy.

Marks working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Marks wants to control but Clancy is keeping him busy. Marks throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Marks in side control lands a decent elbow. Marks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clancy keeps working. Marks might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Clancy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Clancy avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Marks. Marks sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Clancy is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Marks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Clancy has escaped the position, nice work there. Marks is looking to take a break and control but Clancy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marks misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Clancy is not content to let Marks control the position. Marks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clancy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Marks trying to control the action but Clancy is working from the bottom. A control attempt from Clancy but he's now mounted! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marks looking to isolate an arm here. Clancy doesn't see it coming and as Marks extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Marks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shnutz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Shnutz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lokren regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Shnutz. Lokren controls Shnutz momentarily but Shnutz frees himself. Lokren is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shnutz defends well. Lokren looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shnutz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Shnutz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Shnutz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shnutz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lokren did well to prevent Shnutz getting side control. Lokren is breathing heavily. Shnutz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Shnutz drops an elbow to the side of Lokren's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Lokren makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lokren. Shnutz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Shnutz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shnutz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Shnutz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Shnutz is working Lokren over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fieldy Shnutz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A left and a right from Shnutz both land. Nice combination. Shnutz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fieldy Shnutz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lokren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shnutz tries for a takedown but Lokren sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sairanix Lokren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shnutz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sairanix Lokren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fieldy Shnutz. Lokren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shnutz's waist but Shnutz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lokren off to one side. Fieldy Shnutz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Less keeping moving, preventing Kill from controlling successfully. Kill drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kill jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
