Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sixth Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Torres told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Sixth Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Torres! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Torres feints and as Sixth Man raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sixth Man can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Torres controls the pace. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sixth Man can't keep his opponent in guard - Torres advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Torres content to control rather than advance. Let's hope that Torres has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sixth Man is in trouble now - Torres has advanced to mount! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Torres tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Torres might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Torres throwing strikes here but Sixth Man is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Torres sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Torres landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torres pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Torres sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Torres content just to control the position here. Torres lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres controlling the position easily from mount. Torres's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres working Sixth Man over with strikes here. Torres controlling from the full mount. Torres has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Torres dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Torres bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sixth Man avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Torres. Sixth Man being controlled for a moment. Sixth Man gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Torres has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Torres landing strikes from the mount. Torres is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sixth Man is forced to tap! Great finish!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Cole! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole rushes Brown and presses him up against the ropes. Brown looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Brown wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Cole jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brown walks away with a smile on his face. Cole gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cole tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cole shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Harry Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Cole. Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Cole. Cole wants to clinch. Cole gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cole fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown wants to get back to striking at distance but Cole won't allow it.
Cole is looking to control Brown's arms but Brown gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cole has his back to the ropes. Brown is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Cole can't fight it off and eventually Brown manages to take the fight to the floor. Cole looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cole has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Cole keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Cole is retaining full guard. Cole is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Cole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Harry Brown wasn't doing enough on the ground. Cole tries to land a front kick but Brown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Brown fails to land the takedown. Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cole tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cole fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away. Cole connects with a leg kick. Brown looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown takes the fight into the clinch. Cole is stalling here.
Brown could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brown scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cole tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control. Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cole controls his leg. Brown is working for a kimura here but Cole manages to reverse the position and he's now in Brown's guard.
Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cole controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brown keeping moving, preventing Cole from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cole is stalling in the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Cole wasn't active enough on the ground. Brown gets tackled into the ropes by Cole. Cole maintains the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mark Cole will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Cole misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mark Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown leaves Cole with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brown fails to land the takedown. Brown moves out of range of the body kick from Cole.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Cole clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the ropes. Cole misses with a short punch on the inside. Cole landing knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cole closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the ropes. Cole manages to break the clinch.
Cole gets a clinch. Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.
Harry Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Cole. Cole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side. Cole is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. Cole wants to clinch. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brown checks a leg kick. Cole throws a wild body kick that Brown sees coming a mile off. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Cole shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Cole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brown sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Brown. Cole is looking to clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right from Cole on the inside. A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cole breaks from the clinch.
Cole tries to clinch up. Cole shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the ropes. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to clinch but Brown slips to the side and Brown counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brown. Cole utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cole avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Cole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cole has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Brown passes into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Cole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cole shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brown manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cole trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cole slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cole would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Brown keeping moving, preventing Cole from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Cole was stalling too much, according to the referee. Brown looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fight stays on the outside here - Cole looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cole tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it. Cole clinches with his opponent.

Cole is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Cole just misses with a elbow thrown towards Brown's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cole moves into the clinch successfully.
Cole drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brown gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mark Cole is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Brown tightens his grip and picks Cole up, before dumping him to the ground. Cole manages to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cole keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Brown stands and steps away. Cole gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cole avoids it really well and circles away. Cole fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brown, pushing him back against the ropes. Cole breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cole is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Cole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cole working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cole looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Cole wants to stand but Brown is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Brown keeping moving, preventing Cole from controlling successfully. Harry Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight! Mark Cole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cole winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
